engadget.com— "Hardly a surprise, but Sony got on stage today at GamesCom and confirmed what we've all knew deep down in our hearts: the new, slimmer PS3 is really real."

It's fixed. It's one of those games that you either love or hate.I'm addicted to it just like I was with the old SOCOMS.I love the thud sound you hear when you snipe someone in the head!
"Make" you? No, I'm strongly suggesting that it's a better deal than people realize, and it's a fantastic buy, especially for those with HDTVs.
I don't see why people are so gun-ho for this. If you have ps2 games you have a ps2. Just use that it will take 1 minute of your life. We're there that many Must- play -more -then- once games for ps2 that it really matters? And with all the new titles coming out that are sequels or more (GT 5) or just plain better then the ps2 brand games who has time for ps2 games. If anything I wish it had ps1 ( or psx?) compatibility...god how i miss ff VII *tear* anyhow I'm not trying to single you out Ferago or anything because I have heard this comment possibly 1 bill times. Imo it's not needed.
Well it is kind of a pain in the ass to have to unplug one to use the other, because I do still have some PS2 games that I'm not going to get sick of soon (fighting games) and if I'm going to a friends house, I'm not bringing both systems. Also I know my PS2 is going to die soon, and since the PS3 originally had backwards compatibility I find it a little annoying that it doesn't anymore.
Yeah I'm honestly not trolling. I've been really happy with my 360, and there's tons of games that are cross-platform. Most of my friends are set up on xbox live, so i'd be left in the cold if i switched to PS3.
300$ should have been the launch price. I finall got my ps3 when it went to this price and got 3 games for free to boot on boxing day. Great deal and didn't overspend like before.
