joystiq.com— This years keynote by sony at TGS was worse than e3's, so worse in fact, the developers began to pictochat during the keynote.

I swear... Up until maybe a month ago I almost thought that Sony was kind of letting bad information slip or just in someway letting themselves get trashed, with the $600 Premium price tag and only having 400,000 units by the end of the year etc. only to come back and lower the price last minute and to say that generally everything bad about the PS3 was just some cruel joke. I hope Microsoft lowers the 360's price for Christmas and the wii's already 250. March 2006, November 2006, whatever, Sony's f**ked.
well to be fair, you can still go out and spend 2 or 3 thousand on a dvd player if you so choose. Wouldnt really recommend it for most, but some of the high end players shure do look better than a cheapo player from walmart :)(does not have a $2,000 player! )
For $500-$600? No, I don't want one. Especially at the rate prices are falling on PC video cards. I have to have a PC anyway, so I take an extra $300 or $400 that I would've spent on a console and put it into a faster processor and more powerful video card, and you spend less money on the gaming capabilities for a potentially more powerful machine.
Disrespectful? Why do journalists listening a keynote suddenly have to be 'respectful' to the people giving it? These are journalists being advertised to, they're not students in a class. They are not being taught or informed, someone is trying to sell them on something. They are doing Sony a favor by being there, not the other way around. If Sony's keynote is a bunch of boring uninformative dreck, then the people being forced to listen to it have every right to start dicking around in Pictochat.
There to make trouble?'Hey guys, let's sit in a boring keynote and chat on Pictochat!'Man, if that's the state of rebellion these days, I feel sorry for the kids...
@SuplyndmndAs someone who plays both PC and console games, I find that console games scratch something of a different itch. I use my PC for most of my deep, serious gaming, and my GameCube for something quick and light. The most noticeable difference is that the console gives me the ability to bring some friends over and gather around the TV for a game of Mario Kart. No Internet play will ever match the sheer social aspect of that type of environment.

"The whole keynote felt like an elaborate joke setup for a punchline that was never delivered."That's gold Jerry, gold!

How did Nintendo know that Picochat would only be useful for Sony Keynotes?

@ mywhitenoise"More people, sadly enough, are more interested in reserving a PS3 at a Gamestop than a Wii."Yeah, to resell on Ebay for $2000+ a pop.
