biz.yahoo.com — Sony and Immersion have apparently reached an agreement on the whole patent litigation situation. Apparently, they "have entered into a new business agreement to explore the inclusion of Immersion technology in PlayStation? format products". Rumble in the PS3 finally? That'd be nice.

a hand held game machine that has touchscreen over 3D graphics will fail - i mean duh look at how successful the PSP has been and what a complete failure the DS has been. hehe

@apoc06that would actually be a pretty good solution so as not to leave early adopters in the lurch.

the PSP is incredibly successful. its the only hand held thats managed to wrestle ANY market share from nintendo.

No, by "Redeeming themselves" I mean in general actually doing something the customer wants as opposed to finding a way to save face by coming up with some excuse to expain that what they are doing is "the right thing". Sure they may not actually be on the bandwagon of doing what the customer wants is the right thing, but baby steps, baby steps.

I don't hear anyone complaining about a certain Xbox 360 with a smaller die CPU & HDMI output. If I make that analogy, all the 360 owners NEED to buy a new 360.Which is utter bulls**t. And so are 99% of all the "trashboy" comments out here.

I'm curious, for all of you knocking on Sony for causing PS3 owners to potentially have to buy new controllers in order to have the rumble feature, do you also complain when Intel launches a faster processor, new graphics cards are introduced, etc? Seems to me that upgrading is optional. No one is forcing you to buy the faster processor (i.e. new PS3 controller). I don't think you won't be able to play new PS3 games because you don't have a controller that rumbles.

We are talking about controllers not PC components. It is apples and oranges. Sony should have settled this lawsuit before releasing the PS3 and included rumble in all controllers.
