techon.nikkeibp.co.jp — Sony prototyped a fuel-cell system small enough to fit in one hand (50x30mm). It works by combining a fuel cell, a Li-polymer secondary battery, a control circuit and so forth together to output up to 3W of power. Its use efficiency of energy is high enough that 14 hours of 1seg movie can be continuously played by general mobile phones.

If you don't want to have to read 2/3 of the article for them to finally explain what the hell they're talking about (read the 6th paragraph and then read the article): it runs on methanol.

I've done this before, and I don't consider myself to be TOO much of an idiot. I read an article and then came back to it later to comment, and clicked the link above it somehow. Yea, it doesn't make sense to me either... But I also caught my mistake before my 2 minutes of editing was up, and was able to change it.

whoa Don't get too excited. This thing hasn't even passed the jigawatt benchmark and you wanna know about our dohickies. I suppose we should release data on the stratisphrasm stabilizers too? We can say, however, that the whatnots will be phased out in lieu of a discombobulator valve re-deux.
