Has Sony released any information about production schedules that has been accurate? The best thing Sony can do is just shut up and release consoles without the lying hype machine.

@ profOblivionActually, no they don't. The standard mark-up on items in a jewelry store is right around 400%. They don't even come close to taking a loss on anything.

"Have I seen a game I want to pay $700-$800 to play yet."Honestly the price range stated for PS3 just keeps getting higher and higher.Look people. The 20GB PS3 is $499. Add a game and it is $559. The 20GB PS3 is a viable purchase, the only thing you miss out on is Wifi and Card Readers. (hard drive can be upgraded should you really need the space later on)It's not $700-$800.

"Give me a break, you're just as much a fanboy as everyone else on digg."I'm not calling PS3 owners fanboys. If they found something they like on there, good for them. I'm explaining why I choose not to purchase one, despite owning the three other Sony consoles. I'm sure some point way down the road I'll be interested in owning one. What I will say is right now I can not justify spending $600 on that console. I will also say Sony has treated me very poorly in the past despite the amount of money I've given them. If that makes me a wii60 fanboy, so be it.

@mark_in_bcWhat part of buying a ps3 makes you happy? You just spent $600 on a console with no games. You should've at least waited for some good games to come out before throwing your money away blindly, damn sellout fanboys.

Above I saw someone bragging that the PS3 can run Linux. So what. For $399 you can buy an Acer computer with Windows XP set up the HD for dual operating systems and install Linux yourself. Not only would you have 2 operating systems, you could play DVDs, burn Cd's, listen to music, surf the net, wow a computer!! Does everything a PS3 does and more. It plays games you say??? Nooo wayyy!!!! Even though the PS3 can run Linux, don't forget its a crappy stripped down "Yellow Dog" version made specifically for PS3's whopping 64MB that's dedicated to running it. Let me grab my checkbook quick. In reality, if you want the "best" in gaming, get a PC, if you want console gaming, get a console, but don't force me to have yet a 3rd computer when all I want to do is sit on the couch and play a game...
