and all this.... without even a mention of the games... sounds like an awesome Gaming console you got there... "Not being a product of a convicted monopolist company trying to expand their monopoly powers outside their core (in)competency."You do know you are talking about Sony right?
I have a 360 & Wii.. I LOVED the PS2 and even bought used games for it last week... so why would I hate the PS3 ? I will still get buried for not having a PS3, hence, being "biased" (right?). Not everyone is a fanboy.. some people just need to be realistic. They had a huge user base on the ps2 (including me) and now something prevents me from getting it.. why? The PS2 is the console that I have played the most ever.. and now the 360The fact is, no games interests me enough to buy another machine.. I would love to try Warhawk or Resistance.. but thats all that really is appealing.. so do I really want to spend more money to play 2 games? I guess SINCE I already have a machine that will play most games (if we assume that most games come out on both consoles), then maybe in my situation, its not the best purchase... for someone that does not have either.. i guess there would be a dilemma Eventually Gran Turismo will be up there in my interests but now seeing that the game might have micro transactions for tracks and cars (removing from the "full game")... is a total turn off for me.For the guys with PS3, i really hope it turns out well for them.. I might actually get one..
$660 - WTF?For the record you are dumb if you think the PS3 is a flop, or if you think it will be a flop. The PS3 since launch has sold more than the 360 did in the same amount of time. Think about what that means for a second. The PS3 had to compete with the following and still managed to outsell the 360 (for same amount of time)....Price Tag....2 Competitors, Microsoft had the only next gen console on the market for a year and had no competition which gave them a great chance to build a library of games and a big customer base because customers who wanted next gen had no choice. The Wii came out around the same time as the PS3 and was more than half the price.....A huge hate campaign driven by ilogical idiots (such as yourself) - just the other day I caught someone telling a friend of mine to not buy the PS3 because it is drastically over priced at £500. The PS3 can be purchased with game for £300. He then told him that the PS3's failure rate is drastically higher than both the 360 and Wii put together. - He was an idiot and i suggested he get his facts right, to my disbelief someone else on the bus backed him up and went on to say that the games cost £60. Thats nearly double the cost of most newly released PS3 games down at the local Game store. ....Sony tax- Games reviews for the PS3 often seem like they have been written by M$. Check IGN's review of Oblivion to see how the PS3 game is good step forward compared with the 360 version (10hours extra, better graphics, less glitches, etc.) then check the final scores to see that the PS3 version scored less. Its not the first/time this has happened either.-------------------I have no problem with really informed people knocking things if they use good reasons but the blatent propaganda that seems to rear its ugly head every time Sony or their console is mentioned is more than annoying.------------------Taking into account that the PS3 (the highest price console with two competitors) shifted more consoles in its first year than the 360 did in its first year, dispite been the only game in town for next gen games. Not to mention that Europe, Australia and NZ have only had the console 7 months where as the 360 launched world wide within three weeks of its release. That might seem trivial but if you look at the figures <a class="user" href="http://vgchartz.com/ngwars.php">http://vgchartz.com/ngwars.php</a>You will see that the PS3 has already sold around half as many units as the 360 and wii in areas outside of america and japan. Its only been out here 7 months as apposed to the 360's 23months and Wii's 10months. Lets not forget the two xmas's the 360 had in these regions compared with the 0 xmas's the PS3 has had and the 1 xmas the Wii has had. ------------I have adiquatly ranted now but id love to know why people consider the PS3 a flop
Wow, DIGG sure is anti Sony. Now while I agree with most everyone Sony is pretty pompous on there opinion they'd just waltz in and own the market the PS3 is HARDLY dead. Why? Here's why... Japan. The X360 is NOTHING but an afterthought in Japan, the primary Japanese developers are pretty much going to ignore it unless MS makes some kinda of sweetheart deal with them (i.e. Unlimited Undiscovery). You all might go "Feh Japan, who cares" but a MAJORITY of A++ titles came out of Japan (Final Fantasy for example). The US developers are still maturing in what type of games to make. That's why on the X360 you see a majority of EA Sports titles (ZZzzz) and FPS (Halo? No offense... not groundbreaking, well done yes, groundbreaking hardly). The Wii for now seems to be the sweetheart of the Japanese dev, but the A++ titles are going to need more oomph behind them and you'll be seeing those going to the PS3.I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time but I suspect I'm correct on this one. The PS3 isn't dead by a long shot.

PDZ was decent. It wasn't Halo, which MS was trying to make it sound like.
