Apple really knows the features you want, and how to include enough stuff you just won't put up with to sink their own ship.1. No SIM2. No removable battery3. No 3rd party apps at launchKind of sounds like it's not really your phone, but something Apple will let you use for $600.

That's not the SIM slot, but Apple did state in their MWSF07 keynote that it did have a SIM tray. Now, think about it people - if there's a tray, there's a way to get in there to slide your SIM in. If you can get your SIM in, why not a battery? Apple NEVER made an official statement on the iPhone's battery replaceability status, so stop making the unknown free range to bash the device.

how the hell is a sim card supposed to hold gigabytes of music and video?and why do you need a sim slot anyway, aside from uploading your contacts from your previous phone?the iPhone has a dock, retards.

Incredibly expensive, no third party sofrware, no sim cards access to make it more exclusive and inaccessible.Apple for some reason loves to aim for a 5% market share.on a side note, buy yourself a samsung d900 [black carbon]. 3mp camera, sdmicro (1 gig removable/swapble storage), crappy mp3 player (30 song per playlist? wtf), awesome video recording and video playback, thinnest slider phone on market (tiny). i actually wanted to wait till the iphone cause i love me my ipod (still hate apple, oh the hipocracy!), but then i got this phone and its great. oh yea, its like $300 unlocked, with any sim card, and has removable battery and third party software like game trials comes preinstalled (basically like most phones)

zdiggler: You're wrong, there are volume buttons on the side of the iPhone.

Funny is, the 3G protocol/standards/codecs are more close to CDMA rather than GSM, so thing flips over again :)
