Crazy story... kind of vindicates those artciles about fascism growing in the US.On a side note, I think anyone who's lived in a country for over 5 years ought to be allowed to vote. I don't see why not... it's not like they are there on holiday, and they are paying taxes, so they've got as much a vested interest. And it's not like the political process in the US requires much of a brain anymore... as clearly demonstrated by many of the Republican anti-Kerry TV ad's in 2004

Deesnutz,In case you forgot your history, the KKK was originally a militant force for the Democrats to intimidate Republicans that were for civil rights. Looks like the Democrats are back to their old ways.Just as felons are not able to vote or own firearms, illegals (people who have broke the law by entering our country, and are NOT covered by OUR constitution) should not be able to vote or own weapons, or in fact share any of the rights of an American citizen.By the way, are you familiar with Mexico's immigration laws?

@lagartoflojoYou know what would be even cooler? If politicians had to pass a test before they could run for election.

"Surely they wrote it in Spanish?"You are correct that it was originally written in Spanish. He posted the English translation included in the complaint to Gonzales.Sorry, I wish I were making it up, but that's exactly what the letter said.Note that he already got dugg down for attempting to inject some actual first-hand information. Imagine what his score would have been had he posted the original Spanish letter.
