??? uh the whole reason we USE AC is for the precise OPPOSITE REASON DC is VERY hard to move over large distances why AC is very easy to move over large distances. thats why Edison supporting DC LOST to AC power. It was the distance problem with DC.

Geothermal. I saw an article (can't remember where right now) that said that the US has over 1000 times the energy needs of the country below it if geothermal stations were to take advantage of it. Instead of making the war pigs rich we could have employed Americans to build geothermal plants in every state and a significant percentage of the worlds countries. It's stupid to the point of insanity burning oil when we have geothermal. Cheap solar is fantastic too, but why we aren't complementing it with geothermal is entirely criminal. Our bribed and paid for Congress is to blame in my book.

New Storage Battery's are sealed and don't release gas these days.Should not have said old car battery.

I would like to see the price of solar powered components drop all around as I want to build a solar powered garage door like this one here that Found.
