Have you ever been to South Africa? With that comment I doubt it. We have hosted a succesfull Rugby World Cup and Cricket World Cup, why not a soccer world cup?
Fake tickets were being handed out alongside real ones. Many of the spectators thought they had the real deal but weren't allowed into the stadium. So they decided to stampede. That is the crux of the matter.
