I live in a very dangerous part of the city (lots of big storm drains, dogs, and lots and lots of vehicles--not to mention it's off-campus housing area, and lots of guys around here don't like cats, and would harm them for fun. I've been walking him once a day on a harness and retractable leash for about 4 years now--it's the highlight of day for both of us!
