whoever scored that trailer is a genius. the string and horns in tandem when the balloons pass infront on the little kid's window is so amazing, its wonderfully adventurey. (is embarrassed by the excitement he gets from the score of a children's movie trailer)

@dragon76: I totally agree with you. It's one of those stories that's been told a million times before, but the similarities between Cars and Doc Hollywood are fresher in my mind, which is why always think of the latter when watching the former.@TVarmy: A Bug's Life may have been a rehash of Three Amigos (I personally like to view it as more of a Seven Samurai rehash), but it still changed things enough that it was a unique film. Cars didn't. Ultimately, while Cars reused a well-worn plot, I usually expect more from Pixar. Hence, Cars is the "least good" of Pixar's films.

Actually Ratatouille was boring, and The Incredibles came in second place...Pixar is a good company, trying to make a "WOW Zinger!" movie, but like Disney, they have their slumps of story lines. Yes the animation is there, but the story line just sucks.I am not too impressed with this story line so far, it may fall right in line with Ratatouille.

"The Incredibles" came in second place!?!?! In who's book!? The Incredibles, IMHO, was a high water mark for Pixar that will be tough to match. Ratatouille was ... a solid effort but not memorable. Cars was boring to me. And Finding Nemo was the weakest effort I can think of.It's hard to imagine "Up" coming close to "The Incredibles".

Pixar movies are in a class by themselves. Compare Finding Nemo even with a popular movie such as Kung Fu Panda and you will see that Pixar movies are timeless

And your toys don't talk/walk around when you leave the room, Monsters do NOT live in your closet, and ants don't have 4 limbs. It's an animated movie!!!

Yeah, I liked CARS much better in the live action DOC HOLLYWOOD version.
