Zellers and Hudson Bay do this all the time. My girlfriends son shoplifted and we got this letter - practically word for word...we consulted a lawyer and WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL...they're stealing ... bunch of hypocrites...lawyer told us to totally ignore the letter, we'd NEVER hear back...and that's what happened...i've cancelled my HBC and Zeller's cards and will NEVER EVER EVER shop there again!Use your 1/2 hour free lawyer consultation if you get a letter like this...

It's not the kid i feel sorry for... it's the parents who are ultimately strapped with the cost and time of dealing with the lawyers.
