Thats not fake. Its completely normal.The charge works its way through the air moving through the paths of least resistance. ( Bit of air with less pollution normally )Eventually one bit hits a streamer working up from the ground and completes the circuit ( so to speak )Once done, the full charge gets released.Thats perfectly normal and exactly how i would expect it to behave.Source : Weather geek ;)
