engadget.com — You know, one of these days, someone at one of these big companies is going to get this right. If you send a cease and desist about "leaked" photos of a supposed device, you're basically saying, "Hey guys, those pictures are real."

How they managed to make it uglier than the original PS3 is truly a marvel in engineering and design.

I already have a PS3 (40GB) and BC is not too much an issue to sell the 40GB and buy an older 60GB over it (though I already have a modchipped PS2 on my TV as well). However I may buy this slim PS3 if it did have BC. But otherwise, I'll just hang on to my current PS3.

Don't they usually release a "slim" version AFTER the product is a huge success?

The claim that PS3 is outselling the PS2 seems to be false, according to VGChartz.com - at this point in the PS2's lifetime it had sold 31.8M vs. 22.4M for the PS3. However, PS3 is kicking the ass of the PS1 which had only sold 7.2M at this point. Also, PS3 is outselling the XBX and X360 if you compare how many sold x weeks after launch - they had sold 15 and 19 million, respectively, at this point.

This is truly great news. Its even more interesting hearing that Sony may be creating an amateurs developers network. Check it out here: http://digg.com/playstation/Sony_Will_Unveil_IPhon ...

There. E3 is over and you all know this is fake now. You should have already known since it would have cost Sony even more money than it does now to make them, but whatever.
