@meatbites"Seeing as my design was one of the many unseen, belated entries, some hearty Digg critique would be warmly welcomed: <a class="user" href="http://zim.dreamhosters.com/slashdot/">http://zim.dreamhosters.com/slashdot/</a>"Only two things I didn't like. One was the search area, it wasn't labeled and had no button. The second was the gradient fade from black to green - just wasn't my taste. I don't know about the collapseable menu, the more static version seems more likely to appear on a high-profile page.
I just can't believe big companies like that have no money to buy a real designer that actualy KNOWS how to graphicaly make something look good. The new interface makes me even more sick then the last one.Well at least I have a future for my job.PS: Digg looks alot more professional
I actually hired a web designer posted by CmdrTaco from that project to redesign <a class="user" href="http://www.avidbeauty.com">http://www.avidbeauty.com</a> . The new site is not live yet, but I am glad I found the guy. Just post your contact info if you want more details on the guy, he is *very* affordable.

That design makes Slashdot look even more bland than before. I didn't know that was even possible. :)

What the hell does chrome and rounded-corners have to do with Web 2.0 (aka AJAX)?
