shilo.is-a-geek.com — This is one of the most helpful Slackware Linux sites I've found. This guy has documented everything from partitioning, to getting your scroll wheel working. Not to mention getting Slack to boot straight into X.

"Not to mention getting Slack to boot straight into X."Has that really been a problem?

For those of you who found this handy you may also wish to check out <a class="user" href="http://www.slackersbible.org/">http://www.slackersbible.org/</a> for some good help.As far as "arguably the most solid distro (both security & stability wise)" I would have to question the stability of the distro. There were some major issues this past year (<a class="user" href="http://linuxreviews.org/news/2004/11/17_0_slackware_PAT/).">http://linuxreviews.org/news/2004/11/17_0_slackware_PAT/).</a> The fact that one person can get ill and bring the distro to it's knees would worry me. I hope all is well and the distro continues to flourish for many years but I remember some saying about an egg to basket ratio.

(lineman) no it really isn't a problem but it is a common question to people new to slackware.
