Its just a callback service:You sign in on their website. Their server signs in to your skype account. When your skype account gets a call, their server forwards it to your cell phone. When you "send" a call to a skype member, your phone calls their server, which forwards the call to the skype number. You can tell this is how it works because their client doesn't need Wifi to operate (not to mention its a website, not an application). EDGE might be barely able to handle the bandwidth necessary for a Skype conversation, but GPRS certainly isn't, and unless you live in a big city or suburban area, you won't get good EDGE reception.

Still..we need Wi-fi. No Wi-fi, iPhone is dead. Too bad iPhone does not support 3G.

wholly2b, he means this is a crap service, as it is simply a website that allows you to take advantage of the IM aspect of Skype. You end up doing it through some web interface and give a 3d party your login information. If it were an IM solution native to the iPhone, yea, then it would be cool, but the fact is that it isn't, and, honestly, it would probably (the reason I say probably is because it seems the service is down... :-/) work for anything that could access the web. It's an old trick that's been used for years to gain more functions on an web ready computer-like device... integrate a service into your website. ::yawn::

molecool, you're missing the point. IM+ is like Jajah in that it uses a callback system, and still uses up your incoming minutes, just like Jajah. And, you will pay roaming charges if you attempt to use it abroad.

Sure. It's great on a fully-wireless college campus. I can get the iPod Touch and use Skype for the next 2 years for WAY less than 59 bucks a month.
