Actually our bodies need sunlight to produce vitamin D. You are correct saying that people living in hot climates have much of their skin exposed, and need melanin for protection against radiation. But enough UV still gets through to synthesize vitamin D. In colder climates people wear clothes that cover most of their skin, so their risk of skin cancer is reduced, but so is their ability to make vitamin D. So they lost melanin not because it was no longer needed, but because it prevented them from making a necessary substance.
I'll bite. You just are suffering from a misunderstanding of how this works. People in Africa became more diverse due to time. Evolution happens constantly. So say you have a village of 100 people. 10 of these people get angry for some reason and move away to start their own village. Now that new village has been started on a very small subset (1/10) of the entire gene pool these people left. Get it? So this new village immediately starts off with only 1/10th of the gene pool of the previous town.The reasons for technological differences has more to do with geography and natural resources than being "more evolved". Europeans got lucky with having lots of easy to grow and store plants, and lots of domesticatable animals. Extra food leads to spare time. Which leads to tinkering and invention...
I know you might not believe it, but many, many people in high positions in companies are 1) White, 2) Racist. Read "Roberts v. Texaco" for an example.I recently went to an event with my friend's dad and his boss/colleagues in a suite, and I was furious at all of the racist remarks that spewed out of some of their mouths. These scholarships are for people who don't have the advantage of being white or having friends in high places (who are generally white).Think about it, ask a well-off, middle aged man for a college loan, and I'll bet more often a black kid gets turned down versus a white kid.
