aeropause.com — "The forums over at Playstation.com are a buzz with complaints about how the SixAxis controller is freezing up and just plain bugging out. There are also reports of the controller needing to be plugged in to be reset with the console over and over again."

I don't know if Sony can really do anything to fix this problem - it's a problem with Bluetooth technology in general. I thought Bluetooth technology was great until I got a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse set and my connection would reset itself every hour while I was playing a FPS. Needless to say the keyboard and mouse are now packed up and collecting dust in my closet.What is Sony going to be able to do to prevent Bluetooth signals from dropping if other Bluetooth devices suffer from the same problems already?

Had that yesterday, had to turn the Wii off and back on to fix it. Even resetting it and reconnecting to the remote didn't fix it.I agree, I've had my 360 a year (well, until it broke Nov 7 and MS hasn't returned it to me yet) and I've never had any real problem with the controllers, at least when I'm in the same room as the 360 in view of the TV. If I take it to the kitchen, the audio drops out, but it returns when I come back.

Yes Cory70, Sony must die, because we always see the best in Microsoft when there is no competition. /sarcasm

So THIS is the faulty controller problem 23r17i05o42n has been posting about!

@WhereAmISo you're basically saying that because one guy doesn't have a problem with his PS3, that all of the people that do on the PS3 boards are talking "bulls**t".<a class="user" href="http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&thread.id=808288">http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&thread.id=808288</a><a class="user" href="http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&message.id=789239">http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&message.id=789239</a><a class="user" href="http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&message.id=806966">http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&message.id=806966</a><a class="user" href="http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&thread.id=774632">http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&thread.id=774632</a><a class="user" href="http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=resistance&message.id=15221">http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=resistance&message.id=15221</a><a class="user" href="http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=callofduty3&message.id=624&query.id=7729#M624">http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=callofduty3&message.id=624&query.id=7729#M624</a>Somehow I doubt it.

Controller specific issues<a class="user" href="http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&thread.id=808288">http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&thread.id=808288</a><a class="user" href="http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&message.id=789239">http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&message.id=789239</a><a class="user" href="http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&message.id=806966">http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&message.id=806966</a><a class="user" href="http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&thread.id=774632">http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&thread.id=774632</a><a class="user" href="http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=resistance&message.id=15221">http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=resistance&message.id=15221</a><a class="user" href="http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=callofduty3&message.id=624&query.id=7729#M624">http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=callofduty3&message.id=624&query.id=7729#M624</a>Also, read this thread, it's funny. A PS3 fanboy tries to say it's peoples own fault that their system is freezing up, but he ends up making the PS3 sound like it'll overheat no matter what.<a class="user" href="http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&message.id=757057&query.id=8393#M757057">http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&message.id=757057&query.id=8393#M757057</a>These PS3 boards are interesting. I didn't realize there were so many problems already.

I think we should because Bluetooth is a piece of crap technology. Should've been buried five years ago. I still can't believe that they use BT instead of 802.11g in most phones today...

My Sixaxis controller goes whacky online or off as well. That was a seriously premature launch. Feeling the MS heat sony? How about the no support for WPA-PSK (TKIP) on Remote Play? C'mon Sony that's just lazy. Both devices can connect to AP via TKIP but not to one another? One last big one on my Sony TV (My 60" SXRD supposedly 1080P as advertised) can't receive a 1080P signal from the PS3. Shame on you Sony. You're just abusing your consumer base. I'm not touting MS either but in comparison my 360 has had no instability problems.

Update: Sony is going to exchange my PS3. Better luck next time I hope.
