Hillary has been 'famous' for alot longer than peter jackson, hillary has done more things that have made him famous and has been knighted a Sir and is on the NZ $5 bill on top of numerous other things

No. Because of the recounts of himself and also the fact that when Tenzing found out that he'd unwittingly signed a document saying that he had been the first he was upset to the point of depression. Do some research on the matter before you bring "race" into it. Both deserve the accolade and to me the honour is shared. The importance of it actually isn't high. What is high is "together" they did succeeded. Or is that racist to consider that a white man and a Nepalese man can actually work as a team and do something amazing??
