I saw this in action. My grandmother, who had Alzheimer's, passed away this year. Almost to the end, whenever someone gave her something to read, she would sing the words in a melody of her own composition.
We've all seen this kind of thing before. I went to see a woman speak on how she had a stroke, lost all ability to speak, but could still sing and through singing got her speech back. It was fairly interesting. And by the way, you wouldn't have science if it wasn't for philosophy. Most sciences were part of philosophy curriculum until they were either proven or disproven. Physics was once referred to as Natural Philosophy until Newton came along and made his Laws. Once he had tested and proven his hypothesis physics was born and Natural Philosophy was dead. Same thing with biology.

I used to feel silly about singing, lately I feel silly if I don't do it.
