My backpack...errr ummm "go bag" has a pocket knife, bottle opener, sometimes a lighter, earplugs, an old school handheld gps unit, and then the rest of the usual crap. Am I manly enough? I don't carry stuff that skirts legality in such an obvious place, though.

Sony Ericsson w810i cellphone, iPod Nano mk.II 2GB, Nintendo DS mk.II, 1GB Kingston flashdrive, sketchbook, Staedtler 0.5mm mechanical pencils, eraser, refillable brush pen, a couple of new magazines - that's all I need. Occasionally I stuff my Panasonic DMC-FZ7 6.0MP prosumer in there, but not too often.

That was interesting i wont go through my bag of junk but the sporks and spoons be people had got me thinking about having food and nothing to eat it with Ebay here I come for a Hobo Knife fork and spoon set
