So when consumers complain about pervasive and rights stealing EULAs we get told to suck it up, yet when those same corporations don't like the license somebody else chooses to use (GPL, creative commons etc), then they're an enemy of the state and the law should be changed? You can't have it both ways BSA. Welcome to the 21st century.
That sucks, and as he says, BSD licence would have been alright.I'm a big supporter of open source, but I'm not really a fan of GPL's viral licensing. Encouraging people to release their software as open source is great, but I think forcing people to is going a bit far.
Open source *is* the free market. If someone else is willing and able to do for free what you charge for, and they do it better, then that's the free market at work. Doesn't matter if it doesn't fit your business model.
Anyone else think it's hilarious that the IIPA was actually founded in 1984? Linuxitania is our ally, Linuxitania has always been our ally. We are at war with Drupalia, we have always been at war with Drupalia. Big IP loves you. You love Big IP...

No one's forcing you to copy and paste GPL'd code into your program.

It's just a way for Corporations to force you into being their consumer, if Linux is Socialism, then I will gladly call myself a Socialist.

The best solution, in my opinion, is educated masses. Your brain is the best security suite for your computer.

Just proves that BSA and the others are really Fascist political parties ;)

Anybody saw the HBO movie Hacking Democracy: http://www.hackingdemocracy.com/USA continues without understanding the risk of close source software even repeating the same mistake time after time.
