It's one giant analogy. The way they stretch the shoes so they can feel better afterwards, is like getting used to Vista. Paying more is a comparison to how everything Apple is usually twice as expensive. Taking a bath with your clothes on is probably an analogy for how OS X handles updates in contrast to how Vista does it. In the end it's about how no matter how expensive shoes are, they will never beat a shoe you used for a while and became soft and adjusted to you, apparently using Vista will give you the same feeling in the end. The cheap motif is out there all the time, since Vista is a discount OS compared to anything Steve Jobs. Or it could just be about nothing, they could have tried to make it viral that way by making everyone on the internet talk about it and analyze it forever.
it's a teaser, to get you to watch the next commercial, which will actually be a commercial. it's basically designed for people to talk about it and say how awful it is.

How such a brilliant guy could think it' a good idea to do these commercials is pretty ridiculous.

It's pretty obvious that the ad wasn't directed at you seeing how what I just read was terribly skewed.

I saw this at 2AM when I was half asleep and thought I was dreaming because it is so freaking bizarre.
