If anything what you would want to build is a Mars geosynchronous magnifying glass to increase solar radiation and thus heat, and try to increase its atmospheric moisture through comets launched into the atmosphere.And the opposite on Venus (kinda like an orbital doughnut) to reduce solar radiation, to the point that plants can survive and scrub the CO2 from the Venusian atmosphere.(credit where credit is due: 'Mars trilogy' books)

That would come after when the atmosphere becomes suitable. Planting trees would decrease the CO2 levels and produce O2 + H2O.
