20 seconds? That's really considered "instant on"? Getting Vista up and rolling on my several year old laptop doesn't take much longer than that.
Because Microsoft pays them "marketing" dollars to say their device was designed for Windows or to put the stupid stickers everywhere or plaster there web sites with pro-Windows slogans. It's sick and self, but it pays the bills. Desktop Linux doesn't do that yet for HP or Dell.Seems to be getting there though.

Just a pity i wont buy any HP/Compaq laptop/pc i've been burnt too many times by their crappy quality control.
