buytaert.net — Dries Buytaert (head of the Drupal project) predicts that 2007 will be the year when bundling a wide variety of functionality into a single platform will become a commodity, and that Sharepoint 2007 will be a strong contender. Where will systems like Drupal find competitive advantage going forward? Through their integration with other systems?

It's actually not a Drupal story (even though I'm uncertain how that would be a Bad Thing). It's Drupal's lead saying something very intelligent and constructive about a product (Sharepoint) that's an arch-competitor to Drupal, and the future of their whole market-space. I'm still trying to get a handle on just what Sharepoint is, and this is killer insight.

So what! People digg stories they themselves find relevant. And it happens to be a fact that Drupal is indeed one of Robert's favorites. If you think the referred article is crap. Bury it!If you start bury stories from people just because they mostly digg the same stuff, then you might not grab the whole digg.com idea.BTW, Dries' opinion is indeed relevant because this fresh Sharepoint release will open up community building to the masses.
