Actually you can get 'cute ribbons' for any kind of cancer. Blue is for Colon Cancer and Lung Cancer is White. If you would like to support research in any kind of cancer you can find merchandise available if you google the societies for that particular type of cancer.

I agree with you, I think if you want to support a cause you should just give the money directly to them. But I see no harm in selling trinkets that may get a few extra dollars they wouldn't have seen otherwise. The power of 'impulse buying' is a strong marketing tool.
