We are certainly not teaching intolerance. We do try to give them suggestions about what to do, but ultimately the decision is theirs to make. As it happens to be, most of the music they like is what we like. We do not try to be their friends, but their mentors. A parents job is a lot more than teaching critical thinking. The parents job is giving them a sense of right and wrong, and to know that there are rules that have to be followed, and most importantly, to know that they are loved unconditionally by their parents. It does not mean that all behaviors are condoned, but that they as a person will always be loved and valued. The parents also have to let them know that if they make bad decisions, there will be consequences, and real ones, not just a slap on the wrist.
Good point. I read that paragraph 3 times because it is a bit ambiguous. It makes it sounds as though the scientist exposed the children to 14 hours/week of explicit music, and then compared their sexual activitiy to those of a control group. I doubt that's what they did in this study thoughIt sure would be an interesting experiment if they did that.

There's nothing wrong with being viewed as a cum bucket, as long as they see you as an intelligent, witty and charming cum bucket.

Yeah, do the sexually active young seek out sexy songs or do sexy songs make the young sexually active?"Linked" is actually pretty vague.
