"1) Someone rips the movie, whether it's HD-DVD or Blu-Ray (and Blu-Ray WILL be broken)" I think it will be much harder to crack Blu-Ray as it uses 2 additional layers of content protection - ROM Mark and BD+ besides the regular AACS. This is one of the reasons why more studios are supporting it.
