newscientist.com — Japanese researchers have developed a system which can eliminate blinking from photographs. The system snaps 15 frames in 0.5 seconds after the shutter button is clicked. A computer then analyses the images, discarding those in which the subject is blinking, leaving the photographer with a better final snap.
