thinkprogress.org — Senator Harmon alleged that the administration knowingly hyped a false threat of terrorism against the nation's capitol to effectively terrorize Senators into passing broad and unchecked spy powers. The moment the bill passed, the "threat" was discredited. Just curious: does conspiracy to defraud and terrorize Congress count as treason anymore?

This is no surprise, just like everyone is saying. But wow, I blame the congress. Votes being swayed by fear, giving away OUR liberties for a little safety. Obviously they've all forgotten not only the constitution but age old American principles. The fact is no matter what threat we were under, NO ONE in that congress should have voted for this legislation.

It is time for the American people to stop being scared, and for the politicians in Washington to become afraid. No one believes they are accountable anymore, and that needs to end.

Sarcasm. Watch for that sarcasm. (If you're doing sarcam, it's way too oblique.)
