cnn.com — The Democratic-controlled Senate ignored a veto threat and voted Thursday for a bill requiring President Bush to start withdrawing combat troops from Iraq within four months, dealing a sharp rebuke to a wartime commander in chief.

Hopefully the house and senate can get 2/3 vote after the veto to put it into action anyways.

Doubt it. The Senate passed it 51-47 so the 2/3 is out of the question right there. I suspect it's going to be a lot of rhetoric and grandstanding on both sides (You want us to lose the war! We already have! You don't support the troops! No, YOU don't support the troops!) and eventually, the Dems will pull the withdrawal deadline out of the bill in order to fund the troops.

Good on the Senate for having some common sense, but Daddy's little rich kid, George W., will Veto this faster than a hyper-active 2nd grader eating fun dip.
