kgan.com — Senator Bill Dotzler, says Google plans to invest up to 600 million dollars at a center that would employ about 200 people. The bill would give the company a tax break on the sales tax from utility bills and a property tax break for the site of the center. (The tax break is designed to help offset electric bill from running a huge data center.)

"it's one of those internet jokes, champ. i've always wanted to use one..."I kind of figured... but it didn't quite fit the pattern.Try "i'm in ur statez schoolin' your noobz" or something like that.

You know it's a small town when "new jobs for 200 people" is a big, exciting thing.

Wow, too bad Council Bluffs is the armpit of America. All the trees in Omaha lean west, because Council Bluffs really blows. The place literally smells like s**t.

Or *A* job for 200 people...

$600 million dollars for only employing 200 people? Hmm...let me do the math....How about we cut out the middle men, and just give each of them $3 million?

I actually live very close to Council Bluffs, and let me say that even in my town, they are making a HUGE deal about Google possibly coming there. It's making front page of the local newspapers, features on the local news, everything. They are super stoked, because other than that, Council Bluffs is known for nothing else.

Not a half bad idea. It's nice to see Google trying to bring some jobs to the midwest... or, the midwest trying to bring high tech jobs that direction.I wish our company would move our data center to the midwest, where it's cheaper.. and I'd rather live.

This is a common practice for Iowa. I worked for an Omaha based company that moved its datacenter to the Iowa side of the river because of the incentives.Download the latest freeware, shareware and demo software arranged by categories, including screenshots, descriptions, ratings, reviews and direct download links.Free Software Downloads: http://www.freedownloads32.com
