aclu.org — "This week, the Senate is planning to quietly hold a vote that would pardon President Bush for breaking the law by illegally wiretapping innocent Americans without warrants. According to Senator Leahy, the bill would '...immunize officials who have violated federal law by authorizing such illegal activities.'" That's from a MoveOn.org petition.

OK if he is in Thailand maybe a guided bomb through the door will work then. Or we could just kill his elephant so he can't get to work to make the money to kill our President.

Please note that the person above is an imposter. I did not post that. His trickery is to use capital i's in place of the lower-case L's in my name. He has impersonated other Digg users as well.If you read this, please report him to Digg so they can catch him with his IP Address and put a stop to it. He has created an account to look like my name, only he spells it "aiiatti2d", using capital i's to look like L's, to fool all of you. Include his imposter I.D. and the URL to this thread when reporting him to Digg.Thank you.

Here's a question. The president can pardon anyone he wants. Its one of the Executive Privileges. Can he pardon HIMSELF???? My guess is the Senate bill is going to die in committee. He hasn't actually been charged with anything. Usually pardons come into conversation when someone has either been convicted or is being actively charged. With the negative comments by Republicans, I think its going to be a hard sell.
