globalresearch.ca — In the wake of Senator Joseph Lieberman (I-CT) and Susan Collins' (R-ME) alarmist report, "Violent Islamist Extremism, the Internet, and the Homegrown Terrorism Threat," the Senate may be moving towards passage of the Orwellian "Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007" (S. 1959).

Even after they leave office they will have immunity for any "speech or debate" in Congress, and for any other official acts they performed while in office. Besides, you'd have a hard time showing that any particular congressman's actions caused you a direct injury, so you'd be bounced out of court for lack of standing. Better to sue the executive branch (i.e., the feds) if and when they violate your civil rights.

That's a nice quote from Ben, but it has no force of law, and is not codified in the Constitution of The United States. Not once did you address the fact that the US constitution does not grant you, or anyone else the right to overthrow the government. Could you please cite the portion of US Constitution where armed insurrection is a right?

Funny thing is that I'd bet the majority of you folks on here who throw around the term "thought crimes" had nothing to say when Democrats were pushing the redundant "hate crimes" statutes.

My reply to the Senate:S. 1959? How dare you?!!! You have proved to the nation once again that you are nothing more than treasonous vermin. I have been thinking and speaking for myself for more than three decades, and the only way you will ever stop this is to kill me, which I’m sure you will eventually get around to.If you wish to secure the homeland, this is all you have to do. Repeal all executive orders and criminalize the writing of any new ones. Impeach Bush, Cheney, and Rice. Bring home all troops from Iraq and Afghanistan immediately. Last but certainly not least resign immediately and convince all of your colleagues in the Senate and the House, save the six who voted against H.R. 1955 to do likewise. Finally, all of you c**kroaches relocate to Iraq, taking the Bush administration with you, leaving behind all salary and benefits you have planned to receive from the American taxpayers. Once the good people of Iraq give the entire lot of you the greetings you so richly deserve terrorism will have been justly dealt with, and America can begin its return to a healthy sovereign constitutional republic.

Can you tell me where I advocated the overthrow of the government.Or when I implied the quote had any constitutional bearing.Or where I advocated armed insurrection.

"Center of Excellence" sounds a lot like "Ministry of Love" to me.
