The media ignored them and pushed the two most corporate candidates, Clinton and Obama.

One could argue that the market has spoken, and they would be severely mistaken. First, for a market to have spoken it has to be a market of ideas that isn't controlled. The media are owned by corporations, and they receive access, and money from candidates. That is not a market. So for a market to have spoken it has to exist, which it doesn't. There are other things to say, but I'll stick to that.

Well stated.

While I am HUGE fan of Dennis Kucinich, and was pretty active in his campaign in NJ. I have to disagree that Obama is a puppet of neocons. I support Dennis as an idealist soldier in a very unideal political war. But the fact is that this country is not ready for a progressive like Dennis, only when they wake up enough to take a candidate of his enlightenment seriously will they be worthy of him.Barack Obama is the next best thing, while more "moderate" than Dennis, he is fiercely intelligent, a great politician (in the right ways) and a deeply moral man. Electing him would a be huge step in the right direction, and move the country much closer to a place where they would be more willing to take a great man like Kucinich more seriously.

I respect your opinion, and hope that you are right. I don't believe the evidence points to what you suggest, but as hopeful as anyone of it occurring.

Yup. At this point we're all just gambling that once Obama gets to the prom he'll ditch the assh**e that brought him and dance with us instead. Personally, I think it's a bad bet. But the American people, it seems, are happy with it.
