timesdaily.com — Edwards took part in a Wednesday conference call with union-led activists and criticized the world's largest retailer. The same day, Wal-Mart said, an Edwards staff member asked a Raleigh, N.C., electronics department manager to obtain a PS3 for the ex-senator's family.

@garyh84 -- I don't think the reason for opposition to Walmart is really the way they treat their workers. Turns out they have very high job satisfaction. I think it's more that small business go under when Walmart shows up. Of course, again, the people with less money are just happy to get cheap stuff, but the elitists want something trendy. What ever happened to Democrats who were for the little guy? Seems the elitist Democrats control the party. True for Republicans too, but then it's the Democrats who are pointing fingers.

Yah Rudy is not going to be able to get the nomination from the republicans. He could try to run as an independent and might have some success, but i doubt that would happen. McCain on the other hand has developed to be the golden child that the republican party can throw to have a true moderate that can take them back from what Bush stands for.that is... until he starts talking about how we need to send more troops to iraq, that might piss enough people off to lose him his chance. His pro voucher school stuff might also be a point that has yet to really be revealed to the public. No doubt he would be a strong candidate, but schools and the war very well may be two of the big issues in 2 years, or more importantly at primary time, and if the war is still the main issue McCain might have trouble.

Maybe send him a box of handsoap instead. He needs to wash his hands clean. When all hell break lose, it's the peon who messed up. Should've have his peon camped out in line like everyone else, then there won't be this embarrassment. And what's up with criticizing Walmart? Evil or not, that's where some of us can shop to make ends meet. Not every one shops at Barneys and wear Armani suits. For some having a crappy sweater and a pair of sneakers from Walmart is luxurious enough. Walmart have more direct impact in providing affordable daily needs for most "little guys" then the senator ever will be.

So what if Wal Mart treats their workers like s**t?People aren't being forced to work there. There are PLENTY of other entry level jobs in our robust, healthy American economy.Of course, if the Democrats get their way and raise the minimum wage, there will be a LOT LESS entry level jobs in our economy which will be much less healthy. It's no surprise that the same people who object to globalization also advocate a so-called "living wage".You know what they say.. A socialist idiot is born every minute.

My point being that both sides of the left/right are hypocrites. Or at least, many of the politicians from both parties are. I would assume the same is true for third party candidates but since you never get to hear from them it's a moot point. Not that I don't like third parties - I just with they would quit running for office and spend their time on ballot reform like instant runoff voting first. Cause otherwise they don't stand a chance.
