washingtonpost.com — Inhofe speaking at the CPAC conference: "I have been called -- my kids are all aware of this -- dumb, crazy man, science abuser, Holocaust denier, villain of the month, hate-filled, warmonger, Neanderthal, Genghis Khan and Attila the Hun," he announced. "And I can just tell you that I wear some of those titles proudly."

Not to mention Al Gorry. He was a failure at politic and he is a failure again as an actor/scientist. No scientific facts showing causality for global warming as man induced.

To modify what lowrent said, "What examples are there of the extreme [right] taking over the [Republican] Party?"Anyone who thinks Pres. Bush is "extreme right" needs to study political ideologies a little more. "No Child Left Behind" certainly isn't a "right-wing" policy; the whole guest worker pass thing isn't "right-wing." Quite a few policies Pres. Bush has espoused over the years have been "left" ideologies. There are a lot of Republicans who don't like Pres. Bush because he isn't "right-wing" enough (just like there are a lot of Democrats who didn't like Pres. Clinton because he wasn't "left-wing" enough). In any case, I think this whole focus on left-wing/right-wing, Democrat/Republican, liberal/conservative has gone way overboard; it tears our country apart more than anything else. Why don't we just focus on the merits of particular policies or people rather than labeling everyone who you disagree with as an extremist and sticking our heads in the proverbial sand?

"JEEEEEEZUS!"Is that like thelordjesuschrist(tm)?'And you probably are waiting for your 72 virgins in paradise, right? You are an idioticassh*le."Show me in the damn Koran where it says that. I guess that goes to show if a lie is repeated enough, it 'becomes true'

I don't know whether Global Warming is occuring in the sense Al Gore says it is.I do know that, here in the Midwest, the place where I'm typing was covered by glaciers ages ago. I don't know why those glaciers melted....but chances are it had little to do with Neanderthals not wanting to drive a Prius.I give people like Inhofe and Michael Crichton credit for at least having the skepticism that scientists should have.

In short, Republicans are like the people that jump into oncoming traffic on purpose so they can sue the people that hit them.

Christians will elect anyone who describes himself a Christian, even if they are secretly nihilist.

Inhofe is no fool and when he gets challenged on his enlightened view that global waming is a hoax, he gets nasty, mean and even. He has been in office since mid 90's so he was there through all the Bush/GOP reign and we know the Republicans rubber-stamped all the Bush desires.
