shivaranjan.com — Orlogix has introduced self recording CD-R, to use this you don’t any burning software at all. This CD-R comes with prerecorded burning software which takes up less than 1% of the space on the disc. All you need to do is just put this CD-R in your computer’s drive and follow the simple onscreen instructions for burning the CD.

Teaching "noobs" how to write to or make copies of CDs is quite difficult because of the lack of consistency across different computers.I miss the days of the floppy disc where you could copy and store and delete data on any floppy disc on any computer in a consistent fashion.Today, when you make a copy of a CD-R or CD-RWs you use the program that your writer bundled. In every computer you get a slightly different process with slightly different results.Of course, if MS decided to bundle a full featured CD writing app with Windows it would only get one anti trust lawsuit after another for putting software companies out of business.

"I miss the days of the floppy disc where you could copy and store and delete data on any floppy disc on any computer in a consistent fashion." 8 inch, 5.25 inch or 3.5 inch? Single or Double sided? PC, Mac, Amiga or alternate format? Some of us remember the days when even floppy disks were not as constistent either. MS has had a CD writing app built into Windows for a while now. How "full featured" you consider it to be depends on what features the user is trying to get from it.
