New York, Frisco, retirement communities, maybe any urban center in non-winter conditions, gee thats a lot of people isn't it. Most people dont live in some s**thole town in Michigan. Most people live in large cities and they do their stupid commute in gas guzzling tanks that they pay through the nose for. And yeah, a power plant generating electricity with *any* fuel is better than having cars pumping out exaust, id tell you to look it up, but you don't strike me as the studious type. Back to Rush for you.
I like it. I also like Toyota's similar alternative. They both need refinement but they do have potential for becoming mainstream products. Most of the negative opinions I'm seeing here are self-evidently false (and obviously motivated by anger at GM's endless bailout). If GM's equips their device has seat belts, mirrors, reflectors, headlights, it could safer than many of the high end scooters and motorcycles that have been gaining popularity with commuters.People complaining about the cost to the tax payers don't have a case. The device is clearly an evolved Segway. GM did not have to invest very much at all to get their design to this point nor did they have to spend much to produce the prototypes they've got. I also bet GM made its investment many months ago. It's just not reasonable to believe GM received tax payer money and then went out and created this.
Its an electric wheelchar with a different name. Why not buy a scooter old ppl use. Why not use an electric wheelchair. We already have these and its probably cheaper than this contraption.
I think eventually small vehicles will catch on based on pure necessity. we'll get to a point where traffic is so gridlocked we have no option but to go smaller. im talking about dense urban areas here. theres no reason a single person NEEDS to drive a huge SUV in new york.
Hey ya'll. It IS a wheelchair...but that ain't goin' do ya'll no-good when yer layn'n down 6ft. under in the coffin version, ...But hey!, oh wait, it that G--M--C--?! No need to worry then. Comes next year it'll be super-sized to fit 10!, but'll still be a two-seat'r, and gas-guzzler what it'll be! See GM makes it's business on the "bigger is better" philosphy where look-it here, well oh my, the not only look alike GMC Jimmy and Chevrolet Blazer re-skinned/different badged brandnames became the Trailblazer and what-have you, BUT THEY'RE JUST AS BIG AS THE 2009 SUBURBAN(!!!) Sooooo, gotta s**t-can those two limp-dicks and clone the 2001-2007 Ford Escape into making the Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia, and it's CLONE the Chevy Traverse n' look how big those semi-trailers on the road drive themselves!!!... Guezz' whut: The Trailblazer model's end is this year, homies... And the Chevy Equilnox and Pontiac Torrent are/wuz compact/cross-overs...are now going to just git bigger n' bigger and suck more n' more gas-guzzler's...WATCH! Oh yeah, Baby! the 2010 GMC "Timber"..."Growler", whutever ya'll call it "Terrain", What-ever!!, too bad you can't just call the equalinox w. a GMC slap-on: A whole new SUV...! Nope! Not this time GM!...bet yer'all pissed off about that one too huh: all new sheet metal shape instead of a $15.99 plus tax, GMC decal. But I don't care. 6months into a 2000 Tracker where it STILL had manual window roll up/down handles and the passanger plastic door handle breaks!!!--so the potential girlfriend thinks I drive s**t. Turning is harder with 4 wheels. With this you have "turn on a dime" capabilities.
