I didn't mean with pee, I mean pour alcohol/water in it and try to get water..For those of you on digg who like to drink pee, please remember that while it is sterile, it is chaulk full for toxic urea. Well, nothing is 100 % efficient, but if there ain't any more volatiles in it (and I don't think urea or protein is volatile), distillation is going to be your best bet, especially with good refluxing. Certainly more efficient than RO. And RO wouldn't work anyway because the volumes are too small.

The social factor is retarded. Wake up people there are poeple dieing of thirst and malnutrition. I've drank my urine before and it really wasn't some life changing experience. It is much like creek water or swamp water. Or even like water after you cook twigs and bark etc.. in it. It isn't a 'bad' taste. I wouldn't describe it as a good taste either.Repeated drinking of your urine is said to cause a 'buildup' of chemical salts etc.. in your I think it was liver. The uses of urine and feces in agricultural practice 'is' what our urine and feces is for. Urea is also used in alcoholic beverages. Our urine is very much 'safe' like 99.9% safe. Our feces if we lead a healthy lifestyle is predominantly safe as well. The fecal and urophobia that evolved out of the community cesspool and drainage ditches is perhaps the worst cultural trait that we inhereted from western ancestors. No animal puts waste in their water supplies rivers etc it needs to change.Invest and get everyone you know to invest in biogas, humanure and urine refining. It is the future and it is the ancient past. All these perfect systems exist and it is in our power to do it.Note that there are handpumped reverse osmosis system.Keep it up. Get over it!
