maclive.net — A video using the audio of Microsoft's keynote speech at the 2006 CES, as well as portions of the Vista demo. However, this video substitutes Vista footage with footage of Mac OS X's equivalent features. The result is pretty funny.

"I find it amusing how Microsoft apparently mentions the ideas first yet much smaller companies can get the technology developed and up and running before them. Perhaps one could suggest that Microsoft simply blows their own trumpet a lot more than the competition and that the competition actually wait until they have something before shooting their mouth off about it?!?!"Yea because the time it takes for google to write an app that does desktop search is just as long as it takes to write an OS right? OS X tiger was nearing completion and they probably stuck in desktop search once microsoft announced it JUST so their fanboys could go off on forums and social bookmarking websites :P

"ho****erham, just thought I would register myself as a statistic that had never even heard of Konfabulator until after I was actually using Dashboard. So from my point of view, the widget concept was popularized by Dashboard." That's nice. Although you may not have been familiar with Konfabulator, it had received a healthy amount of publicity and attention from the remainder of the computer-using world."Applying your end-point to this, from my point of view your comment is just anti-OSX propaganda."I'm not anti-Apple. I use Macs daily. I use several operating systems regularly. I'm just fed up with being assaulted with this Apple-centric crap on a regular basis here at digg.

Huh. And here I thought the nation was divided over politics.I have an idea. Use the OS that best suits your needs, for whatever reasons, and go on about your day. End of story.(The vid was funny, though.)

"Well for one thing Jobs ripped off Xerox for the whole GUI idea. Learn some basic PC history if you want to talk about it" TimmyK.: You have some learning to do yourself. Xerox didn't want the GUI technology, and practically gave it to Apple. Many of the research workers from Xerox supposedly went over to Apple to work on the Lisa and Macintosh.
