My solution is actually to make a rule in Outlook for the default outgoing account, etc. Is to *NOT* send the emails the instant I hit send. I have them sent automatically 2-5 minutes later afterwards. I have it set to sync and check for new messages when I hit the send button. However, that brief 2-5 minute delay can be a lifesaver. It certainly can prevent you from making a career limiting move. And because frankly the "Recall" function doesn't work for piss to be honest.Trust me on this. Or just save it to your drafts folder instead of sending it. Or if formatting isn't too important and you need to still capture your thoughts while "in the moment", capture it using some editor. For those of you that are especially paranoid that also means it never have touched Outlook in any way shape or form.YMMV. Change the above steps to be suitable for your OS/Email Client. This tip has served me well in the corporate world and software industry, hope it serves you equally as well.
