It's true actually. Just wait until late spring and summer. the best weather (and most beautiful area) in the country.it's a pretty well-kept secret that seattlites intentionally discourage others from moving here because if the world knew the truth, we would be swamped with people.

Oh, I'm not making any racist connection here. White people kill themselves more and DC is very non-white. Let the racial tension slip away and you'll understand the paragraphs aren't related.

while we're making canada jokes, i was going to say that video gaming is escapism and this was seattles way of dealing with their canada-envy.

Have you ever been to Seattle? We've got punk, alternative, hiphop, and electronica scenes all thriving and becoming more and more diverse and interesting by the day. For the last couple months the weather has been more than beautiful, while maintaining a moderate temperature. Most of us don't drink Starbucks' crap, instead opting for the writhing masses of smaller coffee shops. All your points are thus negated, and may god have mercy on your soul.

Better add anothe Seattle freak to the list. Suprised there is so many on here...I didn't realize we had so much gaming here. I knew Microsoft, Bungie, Nintendo in North Bend...but I didn't know about the others.Besides the occasional rain (which I love...to run/mountain bike in), everyone forgot to mention that I believe 4 of the top 10 companies Forbes said is the best to work for, are Washington companies: REI, Starbucks, Costco, Microsoft. Go to Starbucks to get a latte, stop at Costco and get a GREAT FREAKIN' DEAL ON A LAPTOP, hit up REI on the way home to climb a wall or test out a mountain bike, then go gaming when you get home....
