"Imagine if we focussed such intense attention on a "non-famous" missing person or child for a day? How many lives could we save? This isn't about people wanting to help. This is about people being fascinated by a story. Do you think Digging such a story up will raise any more awareness? At this point, it's just a soap opera. This is little better than watching a white bronco speed down an LA highway, and I think the Kim family doesn't deserve to become a spectacle."Exactly.

I respect your energy here, but you are actually feeding the trolls by giving them what they want by producing such a list. Censoring the trolls won't stop them and they will only become worse because even censoring them gives them the attention they are looking for. The best way to deal with these trolls is to just simply ignore them. Eventually they won't get what they caused trouble for and they'll just leave.

I would think that there would be a point where the roads wouldn't match what the GPS was showing them pretty quickly. At that point they would just back track to where they started. Plus I'm not sure if the GPS would send them down a dirt road if they told them they were traveling by car. I know my Garmin wouldn't, even if it showed the road. It wanted to send me down paved roads even if it meant adding 5 or 10 minutes to my drive.

Comon, get real, just because this guy is a webmaster of a fairly popular website justifies the endless load of stories about him here on Digg? What if you got lost, would there be articles about it here? I don't think so, and to be honest, I can't say I don't care about it, but this load of submissions is working on my nerves.

@zmanmoot point. If my family (or yours) was missing it wouldn't make the local news, let alone C|net or digg and you know it. I'm not happy they are missing, it is a sad thing. I just want some different news on digg now. First time on digg is great, second is still OK cause a few might have missed the 1st story. but 3 on the front page at the same time, come on! And the support I would want is for the locals to be out looking for me, not posting on digg about me missing.@bpapabecause I speak my mind, if you don't like it, block me. Its not like that is going to hurt me at all. And i say to bury me because anytime ANYONE posts something that is remotely "against" (probably not the word I'm looking for, but it will work for now) said story they get buried. I shouldn't have to use "/sarcasm" for you to pick that up.@9digitsthank youAll in all I want them to be found, and if there is anything I could do, I would.

Dear god this is getting ridiculous.Would they make this big of a deal about any other "normal" person? Not a f**kin chance.I hope he is ok, but I am sick of this s**t.

Phoenix, Agreed. I do think, however, that the comment system on digg is flawed. How many people digg up (or down) a comment just because other people do? I know I have caught myself doing it. Personally, I think slashdot's system is pretty good. anyone can be a moderator, but not ALL the time.
