Although there are some that take that view, people who truly care about information freedom (as opposed to just promoting Linux over Windows) do their best to enable interoperability whenever feasible. But most Linux-based project that aren't OS-agnostic just don't have anyone willing to put the effort into maintaining a port, or even all that interested in having one.

Out of interest, why would you want to? I'm not bashing outlook, but I just want to know why you would use it over, say, Thunderbird.

Well, I use amarok on my linux install, and it certainly is a good program. However, it's really not all that different from most other music players out there. It's definitely not worth it to install linux "only for" amarok, and boot into it every time you want to hear some music. It isn't anything life changing, it's just another good music player/library app.

Implementation of the Linux Kernel, X server, audio server using Windows' services. Not a VM. More of a VOS.
