intelliadmin.com— An interesting look at Vista (Long Horn) as an Alpha release in 2002, the first Aero features in 2004, to what we have today

Atomic, the Apple praise is (and always has been) all about being in the vehement minority, same reason tiny insignificant countries have really really big parades. Just show them that you have an iPod and that'll make them happy. Don't make direct eye contact though.
OBKenobi: You'll get dugg down because you think you have a better grasp of design than the countless designers hired to design Vista.Don't like the theme? Change it or turn off Aeroglass. It still isn't going to affect the 99% of people that think it looks awesome.
@MacSuxWindozSuxThat's because linux is free, nobody's making money off copying apple's designs there (not saying that because things are shiny now in vista that they're copying apple). Also, a heck of a lot less people use linux than mac or PC (which is a darn shame). Because of these two things alone nobody has any reason to care whether or not any linux distros rip off OSX. Actually, alot of things like nautilus kinda take things from OSX and yet nobody gives a crap.
Ya know, I can't say that I was impressed with Microsoft at all when the first Vista screenshots came out, and lost complete interest in it due to them. But now that i've seen these, I have to say I have a little more hope for Vista, as they seem to have stuck to the basics that XP set. I'll keep my fingers crossed that maybe i'll have a computer that can run it some day. In the mean time, XP is my friend.
Agreed and it shouldn't be an issue to borrow, unless thats all you can do...Making lil' sparkles appear when you click something, etc shouldn't automatically invalidate everything that went into the software.Sometimes it's simply natural progression, not purely innovation.
