$cientology made a big mistake. They took the path of textbook cult instead of true religion. The stated aim of its founder was to make money, TAX FREE, and to basically mindfark the heck out of all members. At one point the Catholic Church did this by using the printing press to print "indulgences" (passes to visit brothels yet not go to hell) but a guy named Lucifer, er I mean Luther, who put up a mere flier or two, thinking it would be a mere academic debate except that the the rascally pamphleteers copied his COLOR posters of people graphically farting towards a corrupt church's front steps, printed a million copies which were spread all over Europe, and the rest is history, leading to the Puritans creating the Industrial Revolution and then, after a few ships sailed to "India" (USA), they wrote a rather nasty document, declaring their Independence. That the Pope first decreed that his word was infallible (a couple centuries ago), then in his last ever decree said "Christians may believe in the theory of evolution," back in 1996, and now in 2008 just came out against junk science of "global warming" which is itself being turned into a global doomsday religion, means that Christianity has swallowed the hard pill of Enlightenment, unlike most other religions or cults.Scientology? Beware bored people without a cause. They will crush you. Not by de-programming existing members, but by cutting off your supply of new blood. Given the mostly won war in the Middle East, and the bright future of solar power as a real alternative to energy, people are just itching to find a new enemy, especially one who emulates in almost cartoon fashion, the old corrupt CIA of the Vietnam era."Writing for a penny a word is ridiculous. If a man really wants to make a million dollars, the best way would be to start his own religion." - L. Ron Hubbard, 1949

How freaking great is this. This news must be spread. Though I am sure the cult will find some way to make a loophole to explain how this is to be.

Ironic that the CoS is so keen on abusing copy right laws when they have clearly violated them.
